The Finish Line...

Psalm 90:12    So teach us to number our days,

                         That we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Sitting in my office this morning, I looked over to my left on a wall where my mothers’ picture is hanging…the photo was taken at the beginning of the end of her journey…

I shared with my oldest son about how he captured a lot in that picture, the fact that we all get older and life can be tough…as we run this race called life you can hear the heart beats, our breaths, and know our days are numbered…we never know when that time will come..

As we continue to run our race daily, the assurance that the Lord Jesus will be at the finish line to welcome us home is essential…and this will bring into remembrance of what He said upon that cross before taking His last breath “ It is Finished.” It was His life for our redemption for sin and eternal life…

All of our days are numbered, so share with others The Good News in that  when they finish the race, the Lord Jesus will be there to welcome them home…

Heavenly Father, thank You for being with us on our daily race to be more like Your Son…thank You providing everything for us during and after the race of life is over…for loving us and never giving up on us…In Jesus Name…Amen…
