Head Knowledge / Heart Knowledge...

Matthew 15:8 These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips ; But their heart is far from Me.

Being Spiritually healthy isn’t perfection but a specific direction we take by surrendering our heart unto Him…sometimes we may attend church, study groups, or any other activities and may not have their heart in it…

Having Biblical knowledge of God and memorizing scripture will not satisfy God …and is not a substitute for the full surrender of one’s heart unto Him…its not just information about God that draws us to Him, but transformation of the heart that keeps our relationship close…

When our relationship with God feels distant, it’s easy us to be drawn into  the ways of the world…seeking things to fulfill us, but only seems to be temporary…when we acquire more things it makes us think we are self sufficient and don’t need God…it starts slowly and once our hearts shift, we may not notice until  we are more distant from Him..asking Where is God?…It will have been us who have wondered, not God…

Seek God until your head knowledge becomes heart knowledge…

Father, please forgive us when we settle for a routine about attending church and may the Holy Spirit keep us under conviction of it…keep our hearts renewed and refreshed in seeking you daily on our journey…In Jesus Name…Amen…
