Live Like It !!!

Genesis 1:28 - Then God  blessed them and said, Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground." ( NLT )

This isn't just part of the historical account of creation but are commands. Being fruitful means to produce. I don't believe this means to "reproduce" as in growing the population but producing as God produces and guides. Genesis 1:26 says we were created "in our image" the image of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, so we should be fruitful, multiply, rule and reign as God does. Producing good & multiplying the love, compassion and goodness of our Creator in all areas of life. That was/ is what we were created to do.

Galatians 5:22-23 - But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. There is no law against these things! ( NLT )

May we keep this original command from our creation in Genesis in mind as we travel through this journey of life and strive to allow the Holy Spirit to produce within us and multiply these "fruits" in our lives and those around us. Remember: first the Bible says "God blessed them" then gave the command. You are blessed by God as his creation. Let's live like it.
