Trials...

James 1:2-4  My Brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials. Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

The Lord God allows trials to come into our lives in that we can become more like Jesus…A brother in Christ shared a very personal story with me the other day  and with his blessing I am going to share it with you…

It starts off with his youngest son  ( 2 Yrs old ) drowning and becoming unconscious…finding himself at his son’s bedside in the hospital broken, weeping, and praying before God Almighty…there was no heart beat for 12 minutes and he was brain dead on life support…

Remaining at the  bedside was God, his son, and himself…this humbled him before God and the scripture that was hidden in his heart from James was revealed…I thanked God with a humble heart with tears running down my face…and ask what am I to learn in this storm?…The Holy Spirit said, be a father to your sons, raise them to be men of My Word and share it with others…

Eight hours later God performed a miracle and brought him back…his youngest son is doing well today and his oldest son attends a Bethel University in St. Paul Minnesota …Praise God for the difficult times we endure to become more Christ-like on this journey here on earth…

Father God, thank You for the difficult things we must go through to grow as Christians…and for taking the broken pieces of us and making master pieces…for loving us and never giving up on us…In Jesus Name…Amen
